Future Operations Planner (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Transition joint space operations and campaign plans into contingency-operations planning cycles covering 60-day to two-year horizons.
• Participate in operational planning teams and develop plans, orders, instructions, presentations, papers, and reports for government approval.
• Analyze threats, operational risks, trade-offs, and warfighter impacts across strategic, operational, and tactical options.
• Integrate delegated plans and concepts with USSPACECOM, combatant-command planning staffs, and mission stakeholders.
• Support Tier 1 and Tier 2 exercise planning and execution, including travel, weekends, and extended shifts when required.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• A current Top-Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI, ACCM, and SAP is required before starting.
• Substantial experience in joint future operations, contingency planning, combatant-command planning, or Service-component operations.
• Strong knowledge of Joint Publication 5.0, the Joint Planning Process, and the Joint Publication 3.0 series.
• Experience developing and staffing operational plans, orders, instructions, risk assessments, and senior-leader decision products through operational planning teams and cross-functional coordination.
• Bachelor's degree or higher, with the ability to complete command-provided training and use GAP CIE, C2IE, and TMT.
