TL;DR
Senior or Staff Intelligence Analyst, Environmental Crimes (Blockchain Intelligence): Building intelligence products and investigations that map environmental crime networks and the crypto and financial flows behind them with an accent on on-chain tracing, OSINT, partner data, and AI-enabled workflows. Focus on identifying wallets, entities, and off-ramps, producing source-cited targeting packages, and coordinating disruption across law enforcement, NGOs, and international partners.

Location: Remote in the United Kingdom, Singapore, South Korea, or the United States; overlap with US, EMEA, and APAC time zones required. No onsite work; travel up to 20%, including major industry and partner events and two TRM offsites.

Salary: $130,000–$165,000 in the United Kingdom; $140,000–$180,000 in Singapore; $140,000–$180,000 in the United States; $105,000–$136,000 in South Korea. Equity may also be offered.

What you will do

  • Research, author, and publish threat assessments, typology reports, trend analyses, actor profiles, and network maps focused on environmental crime and illicit finance.
  • Conduct multi-source investigations using on-chain tracing, OSINT, partner data, and investigative tools to identify wallets, entities, and off-ramps.
  • Produce source-cited targeting packages that support law enforcement, NGO, and partner investigations and identify disruption opportunities.
  • Own the United for Wildlife and Project Pangolin partner programs, providing case assistance, analysis, training, onboarding, and guidance across 200+ organizations.
  • Organize cross-sector and cross-border working groups, brief stakeholders, and represent TRM with partners, media, and external events.
  • Shape TRM products and build reusable AI workflows for signal processing, target selection, and intelligence drafting with human validation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in intelligence analysis, financial crime, illicit finance, blockchain intelligence, or transnational threat investigations.
  • Knowledge of wildlife trafficking, environmental crime, transnational smuggling, or a closely related illicit-trade domain.
  • Ability to independently run complex multi-source investigations and produce clear, decision-ready, source-cited intelligence.
  • Strong OSINT methodology and tradecraft, including hands-on use of commercial databases and investigative tools.
  • Production fluency with AI and LLMs for research, analysis, reusable workflows, and critical evaluation of outputs.
  • Strong stakeholder communication, briefing, facilitation, partner management, and community-building skills.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on blockchain or crypto tracing experience across multiple chains and obfuscation techniques.
  • Experience working with law enforcement or NGOs in conservation or enforcement contexts.
  • Experience delivering external partner training or organizing multi-stakeholder operational working groups.
  • Mandarin, Vietnamese, Thai, Spanish, Portuguese, or another language relevant to trafficking corridors.
