Commercial Analytics

Location: Remote within the United States. Corporate roles are not hired in AK, AR, DE, HI, ME, MS, NM, OK, SD, VT, or WI. Virta is remote-first, with office hubs in Denver and San Francisco.

Salary: $105,000–$136,000 per year, based on location, qualifications, and experience.

What you will do

• Execute recurring and ad hoc commercial analyses for client reporting, performance guarantees, dashboards, and other priorities.
• Apply value-measurement frameworks to calculate, validate, and communicate client outcomes.
• Build dashboards and analyses that surface trends and support client and commercial decisions.
• Partner with Client Success, Commercial, Finance, Product, and Analytics stakeholders to translate complex questions into clear analytical approaches and client-ready narratives.
• Improve metric definitions, documentation, data quality, and repeatable workflows through automation and AI.
• Own multiple analytics workflows from question definition through final delivery and recommend improvements that strengthen scalability and reliability.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, analytics, or a data-focused role.
• Strong SQL skills for data exploration, metric validation, and audit-ready outputs.
• Ability to define metrics clearly and maintain consistency through documentation and governance.
• Systems-oriented approach with experience improving or automating repeatable processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex data into clear insights for internal and external audiences.
• Experience with BI dashboards, client-facing analytics or value reporting, and modern data-stack concepts.

Nice to have

• Experience with Looker or a similar BI tool.
• Familiarity with dbt, data modeling, and version-controlled analytics workflows.
