SOX Compliance Supervisor

Location: Hybrid in Tres Ríos, Cartago, Costa Rica

What you will do

• Coordinate SOX compliance activities across the LATAM, North America, and ANZ regions, including certifications, testing, monitoring, and annual and quarterly assessments.
• Review control certifications and documentation, identify changes, and coordinate updates with process owners and regional finance teams.
• Follow up on deficient controls, define remediation plans, report SOX deficiencies, and monitor remediation progress.
• Perform control walkthroughs and independent testing, evaluate control effectiveness, and support internal and external auditors.
• Train control testers and collaborators on SOX procedures, company policies, and AuditBoard/Optro software.
• Administer the global Delegation of Authority process and support special projects, transitions, mergers, acquisitions, and new-entity control implementation.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or a recognized accountancy qualification.
• Strong knowledge of SOX and internal management controls, with 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a multinational company or shared service center.
• Accounting experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Efficient, organized, structured, and able to communicate effectively across functions and cultures.
• Spanish and English required.
