Sr. Communications Specialist (RISST)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Peoria, Illinois; Tucson, Arizona; or Irving, Texas. Domestic relocation assistance is available. International and domestic travel may be required for up to 10% of the time.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and execute strategic internal and external communications plans for Resource Industries solutions, services, electrification, and sustainability initiatives.
• Advise senior leaders and business partners through executive messaging, presentations, storytelling, and change-management communications.
• Develop editorial strategies and deliver written, visual, verbal, and external presentation materials.
• Maintain information-management governance, brand consistency, and protection of sensitive messaging.
• Monitor communications performance, improve engagement, and manage communication-related reputational risks.
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and apply lean process excellence to improve communication quality and delivery.

Requirements

• Degree in communications, marketing, or a related field, and/or considerable experience in corporate communications.
• At least five years of experience in communications, public relations, executive communications, or a related field.
• Excellent written, verbal, listening, copywriting, editing, organizational, and project-management skills.
• Experience directly supporting senior leaders, developing executive messaging, presentations, and leadership communications.
• Ability to translate mining industry concepts into clear business narratives for non-technical audiences.
• Must work onsite five days per week in Peoria, Tucson, or Irving; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting internal and external communications, thought leadership, speaking engagements, or media opportunities.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and prompting techniques for research, content creation, and communications planning.
• Experience working with global teams and stakeholders across multiple regions.
