Senior Data Scientist (AI)

What you will do

• Build, refine, and maintain statistical and machine learning models at scale, including NLP and explainable AI approaches.
• Develop, tune, deploy, and evaluate LLM systems with a focus on performance and user trust.
• Design experiments and analytics to measure the impact of AI in healthcare settings.
• Clean and transform data and build production pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Collaborate with clinicians, data scientists, data platform engineers, and product teams to deliver measurable product value.
• Communicate technical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3+ years of industry experience developing, launching, and maintaining production machine learning systems at scale.
• At least 1 year of experience developing and tuning LLM systems.
• Hands-on experience with data manipulation, cleaning, and pipeline development using Python and SQL.
• Strong software development foundations, coding quality, and stable architecture practices.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills with technical and non-technical partners.
• Ability to work remotely from Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare data or hospital operations.
• Experience with Databricks, AWS, DBT, or similar platforms.
• Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
