DevOps Engineer - Public Sector | Active eSC/eDV Clearance Required

Location: Hybrid roles based in Cheltenham, London, Hursley, Leicester, Manchester, or Farnborough, United Kingdom; up to 80% or four days per week may be required on client projects, with weekends at home.

What you will do

• Design, build, and support modern cloud and platform solutions.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Build and improve secure CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery.
• Implement containerised platforms using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Embed DevSecOps practices and improve monitoring, logging, observability, and operational reliability.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, security specialists, client stakeholders, and multidisciplinary delivery teams.

Requirements

• Professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a similar role.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, observability, Git-based source control, and software delivery security principles.
• Successful BPSS screening is required; eligibility for eSC or eDV vetting may be required depending on the client assignment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree.
• Consulting, public-sector, regulated-environment, or security-conscious delivery experience.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure, CKA, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification.
