Senior System Software Engineer (Golang/Java, Distributed Systems)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; primarily in-office at the Prague office

What you will do

• Design and implement algorithms and technologies for high-performance, highly reliable system software.
• Develop and maintain features for object storage products on FlashBlade and FlashArray.
• Work with data transmission protocols and internal data storage within the CPBU group.
• Own features end to end, from concept and implementation through delivery and ongoing maintenance.
• Analyze complex distributed and low-level technical challenges and develop scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, product development, account management, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable systems.

Requirements

• Experience building and maintaining large-scale, high-performance systems.
• Proficiency in Java, Golang, and/or C++ with the ability to write clean, efficient, and reliable code.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills for distributed or low-level system challenges.
• Ability to own complex features or components from design through delivery.
• Experience collaborating across engineering, product, and operations teams.
• Ability to work from the Prague office in accordance with company policies, except during approved leave or work travel.
