Infrastructure Administrator (DBA Oracle)

Location: Poland; candidates must be located in Poland, hold EU citizenship, and be willing to commute to the Katowice or Gdańsk office. The role follows two shifts, 08:00–16:00 and 10:00–18:00, with rotational weekly and weekend on-call duties.

What you will do

• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, monitor, and maintain Oracle database systems.
• Manage database users, roles, privileges, security configurations, capacity, and performance.
• Implement and validate backup, restore, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Troubleshoot incidents and performance issues, perform root cause analysis, and prepare technical recommendations.
• Support database migrations from on-premises infrastructure to AWS, Azure, and OVH cloud platforms.
• Automate recurring administrative tasks, maintain documentation and inventories, and collaborate with infrastructure, network, application, security, and cloud teams.

Requirements

• EU citizenship and residence in Poland with readiness to commute to the Katowice or Gdańsk office.
• At least 3 years of Oracle Database Administration experience, including production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, administration, and database architecture.
• Experience with Oracle backup, restore, and recovery operations, including RMAN.
• Strong SQL, troubleshooting, database security, and Linux/Unix skills.
• Professional-level English and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS and other public cloud platforms.
• Experience migrating databases from on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MariaDB.
