TL;DR
Legal Counsel (AI/VR): Managing end-to-end legal matters for immersive streaming products with an accent on commercial contracts, intellectual property, privacy, and platform compliance. Focus on drafting and negotiating agreements, addressing content and consent issues, and building scalable legal operations for interactive media.
Location: Fully remote; B2B contract role for an independent contractor with their own legal entity

What you will do
- Draft, negotiate, and maintain commercial agreements, licensing arrangements, creator and performer releases, terms of service, and intellectual property protections.
- Support product launches, partnerships, platform decisions, and disputes involving technology and digital media.
- Handle content complaints, privacy requests, consent requirements, age assurance questions, and payment provider compliance.
- Coordinate specialist external counsel by framing legal questions, providing context, and implementing recommendations.
- Build standardized templates, escalation workflows, and a legal knowledge base to improve recurring legal operations.
Requirements
- Legal qualification and proven experience handling commercial legal matters.
- Working knowledge of copyright, intellectual property, commercial contracts, technology, privacy, and platform compliance.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills in English.
- Experience with high-compliance digital content, user consent protocols, age assurance, and copyright management.
- Proactive, curious, and able to distinguish strict legal requirements from commercial trade-offs in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with digital platforms, creator businesses, AI, VR, international operations, or high-compliance streaming media.
- Generalist experience bridging diverse operational areas and engaging specialist counsel when needed.
