Medical Information Specialist (Medical Communications)

Location: Home office or European hub office; ideally based in Poland, Ireland, the UK, Italy, Portugal, Germany, or Spain. Must be legally eligible to work in the European Union or the UK. Working hours are US hours, with 9-hour shifts between 2pm and 2am CET, Monday-Friday.

What you will do

• Translate English documents into the target language and deliver translated responses by phone or in writing.
• Respond to drug information inquiries from healthcare professionals, patients, and consumers.
• Identify adverse events and product complaints, collect required information, and prepare compliant initial reports.
• Write adverse event narratives, product complaint documentation, and custom medical inquiry responses.
• Research medical literature and prepare written drug information for healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate quality-related complaints with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and complainants, while supporting additional research and medical writing projects.

Requirements

• Degree in life sciences, healthcare, pharmacy, or an equivalent field.
• Strong clinical background with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• English at C1 level is required.
• Mother-tongue fluency in Italian is required.
• Strong translation skills and the ability to assess safety information and determine the appropriate depth of intake.
• Legal eligibility to work in the European Union or the UK is required.

Nice to have

• PharmD, MPharm, BSc, or MSc in Pharmacy.
• Experience in call centers, medical information, the pharmaceutical industry, clinical work, or medical writing.
• Native Spanish and fluent English.
• Experience with medical information management systems, safety databases, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows applications.
• Brazilian Portuguese.
