Senior ML Algorithm Scientist (Wearable Health)

Location: Hybrid in London, England, UK. Travel to the US and Finland may be required.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end machine learning and algorithm development pipeline, from signal processing through model training, evaluation, scaling, and deployment.
• Develop deep learning and classical signal-processing algorithms using multimodal sensor data to derive physiological health metrics.
• Design sensor-fusion methods for PPG, motion, temperature, and spectroscopy data while managing motion artifacts and other real-world noise.
• Use large-scale cloud datasets and prototype sensors to validate model performance and hardware behavior in real-world conditions.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, and data infrastructure teams to integrate algorithms within the physical constraints of the ring.
• Present technical findings to senior stakeholders and help shape research direction and product roadmaps.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in machine learning, biosignal processing, sensor fusion, and real-world multimodal time-series analysis.
• Strong Python skills and practical experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow, NumPy, SciPy, pandas, and matplotlib.
• Strong understanding of the physiology represented by sensor signals and the engineering ability to solve noisy, complex problems.
• Experience with scalable data systems and deploying machine learning models into production.
• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Biomedical Engineering, Signal Processing, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to take accountability for algorithm development from feasibility testing through production integration.
