What you will do

• Define and execute SAP's government affairs strategy in Japan.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with government stakeholders, industry associations, influencers, and nodal agencies.
• Advise SAP Japan senior leadership and internal teams on political risks, governmental structures, ethics rules, legislation, regulations, and policy impacts.
• Lead policy advocacy, prepare policy papers and responses, and represent SAP in consultative groups, program committees, and government engagements.
• Support public-sector development strategies, sales teams, and government partnerships in sustainability, digital skilling, innovation, and cyber-physical systems.
• Act as SAP's government liaison during crises and amplify SAP initiatives on government platforms.

Requirements

• More than 18 years of experience in government affairs, public affairs, public policy, strategic business support, or consulting.
• Enterprise-level expertise in government affairs strategy, public policy, political risk governance, crisis communications, and stakeholder engagement frameworks.
• Postgraduate qualification in business administration, public administration, public policy, law, or economics.
• Experience advising senior leadership, engaging government stakeholders, and navigating legislative and regulatory processes.
