Cybersecurity Threat Researcher (Hybrid)

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Deploy and configure endpoint, email, web, and network protection products in the Threat Research Lab.
• Analyze large datasets to identify threat trends across regions, industries, and business segments.
• Investigate phishing emails, malicious URLs, malware, vulnerabilities, and threat actor tools and techniques.
• Triage, investigate, and respond independently to alerts from the hirify.global email platform.
• Provide threat intelligence support to internal departments and communicate threat knowledge to customers and external stakeholders.
• Conduct independent research and contribute to external Threat Labs content, including blog posts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3 years of experience, or master’s degree or equivalent with 1 year of experience.
• Experience with indicators of compromise, reverse engineering, and threat campaign tracking.
• Experience analyzing malicious URLs and phishing emails.
• Understanding of malware analysis, including isolated malware analysis virtual machines, file format identification, and basic static and dynamic analysis.
• Experience in customer-facing environments and triaging complex customer queries.
• Familiarity with Python automation and databases such as SQL or MQL is preferred.
