Material Inventory Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: San Diego, California; warehouse operations in Kearny Mesa

Base rate: $20.00–$29.67 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Receive, verify, sort, store, issue, stage, palletize, move, dispatch, and ship materials, parts, tools, and assemblies.
• Pick and pack orders, process returns and transfers, replenish stock, set up storage locations, and perform inbound and outbound quality checks.
• Conduct physical cycle counts and enter warehouse transactions to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Identify, trace, and reconcile inventory errors, shortages, delays, and inaccurate system data.
• Operate reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, overhead cranes, two-axle trucks, RF systems, and barcode technology.
• Load and unload vehicles and maintain clean, safe shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid agency-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Working computer knowledge and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry 10–25-pound boxes, work at heights of up to 20 feet, and operate a two-axle truck.
• Availability to work any shift.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring employer-specific sponsorship are not eligible.

Nice to have

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Familiarity with inventory record systems or BaaN.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
