Freelance Event Specialist

Location: Stoke Gifford, England, United Kingdom; on-site, in-person work. This contract role is open only to candidates already based in Stoke Gifford, UK; no relocation package is offered. Flexible availability is required, including nights, weekends, and travel within the local region.

What you will do

• Coordinate the onsite delivery of volunteering, team-building, social impact activities, and corporate events.
• Attend planning meetings and align responsibilities with corporate partners, nonprofit organizations, venues, hosts, and event staff.
• Lead event setup, guest check-in, onsite operations, teardown, site cleanup, and repackaging of materials.
• Represent the organization onsite, manage customer experience, and resolve supply, staffing, technology, and other event issues.
• Provide event updates, photos, and videos to the Events Team and escalate issues when needed.
• Pack supplies, add shipping labels, and load boxes for return to the distribution center.

Requirements

• Fluent English and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Already based in Stoke Gifford, UK; able to work on a per-event contract basis.
• Experience delivering complex large-scale events and intimate executive-level events.
• Resourceful, organized, detail-oriented, solutions-minded, and comfortable solving problems under pressure.
• Experience with group facilitation, group dynamics, customer service, and managing large crowds.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, travel locally, lift or carry up to 30 lbs, and stand for extended periods.
