Response and Recovery Lead

Location: Wyoming, Michigan, United States. Hybrid schedule with four days in the office and one day from home; Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with on-call and weekend expectations.

What you will do

• Lead operational readiness, monitoring, escalation, incident reporting, and major incident management for IT outages and cyber events.
• Oversee the architecture, compliance, and validation of immutable enterprise backups across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
• Design and run recovery drills, exercises, and training programs, including reporting Recovery Time Objectives and Recovery Point Objectives.
• Prepare resilience posture, performance, and risk-culture reports for executive management and develop action plans from the results.
• Partner with the Business Continuity and Resilience Program Manager to maintain manual shipping and ordering capabilities and restore warehouse and sales operations during outages.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in information technology or business continuity.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in business administration, information technology, or a related field.
• Experience implementing, maintaining, or governing enterprise-wide business continuity, IT disaster recovery, incident management, and crisis management programs.
• Knowledge of ITIL, incident management, NIST incident response, governance, risk and compliance, or related frameworks.
• Ability to assess operational, financial, and non-financial impacts and align recovery plans with executive risk appetite metrics.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and crisis leadership skills, including clear decision-making during active disruptions or emergencies.
