Junior FPGA Engineer (FPGA)

What you will do

• Implement FPGA applications through RTL development, simulation, and verification under senior engineering guidance.
• Run synthesis, place-and-route, and static timing analysis flows and interpret the results.
• Plan and execute block-level and system-level tests, including laboratory bring-up of new hardware.
• Debug and characterize FPGA designs and boards, and support production incidents with senior engineers.
• Integrate FPGA components with software, networking, and trading systems.
• Research FPGA tools and technologies, propose improvements, and produce documentation and test reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of professional experience, or equivalent internship, research, or university project experience.
• Practical experience writing RTL with Verilog or SystemVerilog.
• Familiarity with FPGA development flows and Xilinx or Intel/Altera tools.
• Basic experience with simulation and verification tools such as ModelSim or Questa.
• Comfort using Linux and basic scripting with Python or Bash, plus strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Exposure to high-speed interfaces such as Ethernet, PCIe, or DDR memory, or to SoC subsystems.
• Experience with C/C++ for embedded systems or hardware-software integration.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, timing, or latency optimization.
• Familiarity with Git and CI workflows.
