TL;DR
Senior Cloud Migration Engineer (Azure to AWS): Leading end-to-end Azure-to-AWS migrations across architecture, data, workloads, and cutover with an accent on scalability, security, performance, and cost efficiency. Focus on designing target AWS architectures, automating migration tooling, minimizing downtime, and stabilizing distributed systems after migration.
Location: Work from home 100% of the time, or work from one of the global offices.

What you will do
- Lead end-to-end Azure-to-AWS migration projects from assessment and planning through execution and cutover.
- Define scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AWS target architectures.
- Migrate compute, storage, databases, networking components, applications, and data across cloud providers.
- Design data migration strategies that preserve integrity and minimize downtime.
- Implement and optimize migration tooling and automation, including validation and performance testing.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, refactor or replatform workloads, and document architectures, migration plans, and runbooks.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of end-to-end Azure-to-AWS migration experience is required.
- Senior-level experience leading production cloud migrations in high-scale environments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM, and Azure VMs, Storage, and Networking.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, identity, data, observability, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with migration tools such as AWS Migration Hub and DMS, or equivalent solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS-to-GCP or Azure-to-GCP migrations.
- Experience working at or closely with AWS, Microsoft, or Google.
- Scripting or automation experience with Python.
- Familiarity with containerized workloads such as Docker.
