Staff Cyber Security Specialist

What you will do

• Lead cyber incident response engagements from intake through recovery and coordinate investigations as the technical lead.
• Conduct forensic investigations to determine attack scope, root cause, and business impact.
• Support customers during active cybersecurity incidents and communicate clear technical guidance.
• Contribute to MDR and Security Operations activities, including strategic improvement initiatives, playbooks, and operational processes.
• Work with management, legal counsel, law enforcement, regulators, and internal and external stakeholders when required.
• Mentor junior and mid-level responders and help raise the technical maturity of the team.

Requirements

• 6+ years of cybersecurity experience, including significant hands-on experience in Incident Response, Digital Forensics, Security Operations, or related disciplines.
• Proven ability to independently lead cybersecurity incidents end-to-end.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows, Linux, macOS, file systems, security architecture, attack surfaces, enterprise infrastructure, networking, and network security.
• Experience with EDR platforms such as CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, SentinelOne, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of cloud environments and security concepts across Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, with strong investigative and analytical skills.
• Dutch at C2 level is required for client communication; English is the internal working language.

Nice to have

• Experience developing scripts, tools, or automations for investigations and response activities.
• Technical security research experience and knowledge of threat actors and attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Experience in a CERT, CSIRT, MDR, or DFIR environment.
