Senior Security Engineer (SecOps)

Location: Remote Belgium

Salary: €56,000–€74,000 EUR annually

What you will do

• Identify and respond to security incidents affecting products and services globally.
• Act as an incident commander throughout the complete incident response lifecycle.
• Design and maintain security alerts, automated actions, playbooks, and escalation workflows for 24/7 incident response.
• Conduct threat hunting, anticipate emerging threats, and develop strategies to counter sophisticated threat actors.
• Research threat intelligence, triage findings, and manage resulting workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, improve incident preparation and response processes, and participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing security incidents at global scale or working in SOC, PSIRT, or CSIRT environments.
• Expertise with SIEM systems such as ELK, Google BigQuery, or Splunk; Splunk proficiency is preferred.
• Hands-on expertise with endpoint detection and investigation and the ability to use endpoint telemetry to identify root cause.
• Expertise with SOAR platforms such as Tines or Splunk SOAR.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Experience with software development or engineering operations for consumer products and services, plus practical experience with cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, Heroku, or Azure.
