LE3 Linesman / Plant Operator

What you will do

• Construct, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
• Install and remove poles, cross-arms, insulators, transformers, and other line equipment.
• Splice and terminate electrical cables and troubleshoot faults and outages.
• Operate excavators, backhoes, trenchers, loaders, and elevated work platforms.
• Complete pre-start checks, routine maintenance, minor repairs, logbooks, and job reports.
• Participate in on-call rotations and emergency response while following safety standards.

Requirements

• Certificate III in ESI - Distribution Overhead or an equivalent electrical trade qualification.
• Current LE3 Linesman certification.
• Relevant plant operator tickets or licences, including experience with excavators, EWPs, loaders, or an HR licence.
• Experience in electrical distribution network construction, maintenance, and repair, plus safe heavy machinery operation.
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and regulations, with the ability to read technical drawings and work plans.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces; current First Aid, CPR, and driver's licence required.
