LE2 Linesman (Electrical Distribution)

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical distribution lines, poles, conductors, transformers, and related equipment.
• Perform live-dead-live testing, grounding, and bonding in line with safety regulations and company standards.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other specialist line equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and outages and implement solutions to restore service.
• Follow safety procedures covering Lockout/Tagout, confined spaces, arc flash, and working at heights.
• Participate in on-call rotations, emergency response, documentation, and coordination with supervisors and other departments.

Requirements

• LE2 Linesman certification or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• Experience constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
• Proficiency with line construction and maintenance equipment, including bucket trucks and digger derricks.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, technical diagrams, and work orders.
• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work in varied weather conditions, climb poles, lift heavy objects, and work independently or within a team.
