Principal Maintenance Excellence Engineer (CMMS)

Location: Galway, County Galway, Ireland; hybrid role with up to 25% travel

What you will do

• Support manufacturing sites transitioning from legacy CMMS platforms to the enterprise Computerised Asset Management System.
• Assess current maintenance practices across work identification, planning, scheduling, execution, and close-out, then support adoption of the future-state model.
• Demonstrate CMMS functionality through practical maintenance use cases and reinforce standardized processes after go-live.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, operations, leadership, PMO, change management, data migration, QMS, training, and IT teams.
• Support asset structure, maintenance plan, and master data migration activities.
• Provide hypercare, issue triage, adoption coaching, and continuous improvement for future deployment waves.

Requirements

• NFQ Level 8 Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in maintenance, engineering, reliability, or a related discipline, or an advanced degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience with maintenance work management processes, including planning, scheduling, execution, and close-out.
• Practical experience with CMMS or Enterprise Asset Management systems.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional, project-driven environments.
• Ability to work in the Galway, Ireland hybrid setup and travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting CMMS or asset management system deployments or transformations.
• Familiarity with eMaint, Maximo, SAP PM, Infor EAM, or similar systems.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing, maintenance-related QMS, data migration, or master data validation.
• Familiarity with change management, hypercare, go-live, and user adoption activities.
• Exposure to Lean, reliability excellence, or continuous improvement initiatives.
