Data Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design and scale Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines that transform unstructured IT logs and documentation into optimized vector embeddings.
• Build and maintain vector database infrastructure using technologies such as Pinecone, Milvus, or Weaviate, with a focus on fast retrieval.
• Develop knowledge graphs and semantic layers that provide context for AI agents working with complex enterprise infrastructure.
• Create automated data-quality guardrails to detect noise, bias, and personally identifiable information before data reaches AI models.
• Identify and resolve issues in raw data sources while building, deploying, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure.

Requirements

• Expertise in data mining, data storage, and ETL processes.
• Experience developing data pipelines and using tools such as Glue, Databricks, Synapse, or Dataproc.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, DB2, and MongoDB.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Role location: Granada, Spain.

Nice to have

• Experience as a Data Engineer or in cloud modernization.
• Experience with data modelling and conceptual models.
• Professional or cloud certifications in data engineering.
• Knowledge of GitHub, Visual Studio, or similar development tools.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or another scientific discipline.
