Senior/Staff Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Barcelona, Spain; office-first hybrid setup with on-site work four days a week and remote work when appropriate

What you will do

• Maintain the reliability, performance, scalability, and security of the hirify.global application.
• Monitor and troubleshoot large-scale cloud deployments and identify software defects.
• Lead technical discussions, review code, and guide more junior engineers on engineering practices.
• Own major infrastructure initiatives, define technical goals, and plan quarterly roadmaps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product features and resolve complex incidents.
• Share knowledge through RFCs, pairing sessions, mentoring, and technical presentations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Software or Systems Engineering experience, including 5+ years in Cloud SRE.
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting large-scale cloud deployments.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure as code.
• Observability experience with Datadog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• Proficiency with AWS or Azure, Kubernetes debugging, and large MySQL clusters with high-availability configuration.
• Professional English communication skills and the ability to mentor and explain complex problems clearly.
