Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Server OS Administrator (OCI): Managing and securing Oracle Linux, RHEL, and Windows Server workloads across OCI and hybrid environments with an accent on provisioning, patching, performance tuning, automation, and compliance. Focus on building hardened golden images, executing mixed-fleet lifecycle strategies, automating infrastructure with Ansible and Terraform, and solving complex OS, networking, and availability challenges.
Location: Cairo, Egypt; in-person collaboration is prioritized.

What you will do
- Provision and manage OCI compute instances, custom images, instance pools, autoscaling, storage, Bastion, and OS Management Hub across Oracle Linux, RHEL, and Windows Server.
- Administer Linux and Windows operating systems, including kernel and performance tuning, system services, filesystems, Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS, clustering, and Windows security controls.
- Design and execute patching, lifecycle, rollback, and compliance strategies for mixed Linux and Windows fleets.
- Harden operating systems using CIS benchmarks, encryption, access controls, firewall policies, audit logging, and OCI Vault integration.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, compliance checks, and operational tasks using Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
- Monitor and troubleshoot OS, network, storage, and capacity issues; maintain runbooks, participate in on-call rotations, and collaborate with cloud, database, middleware, and client teams.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of progressive server OS administration experience across Oracle Linux, RHEL, and Windows Server.
- Strong hands-on experience with OCI Compute, custom images, OS Management Hub, OCI networking, and hybrid environments.
- Expert Linux administration skills, including kernel tuning, LVM, filesystems, package management, systemd, SELinux, and firewalld.
- Expert Windows Server administration skills, including Active Directory, GPOs, IIS, Failover Clustering, and security baselines.
- Experience with enterprise patching, CIS-based hardening, Ansible automation, and Terraform with the OCI provider.
- Excellent communication and operational documentation skills.
Nice to have
- Oracle, Red Hat, or Microsoft Windows Server certifications.
- Experience with Oracle Ksplice, OCI Linux Manager, OCI OS Management Hub, Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack.
- Knowledge of Podman, Docker, enterprise monitoring tools, ServiceNow, ITIL, or managed services delivery.
