Senior Fullstack Java/Angular Developer – Cloud & Payment Systems

Location: Hybrid work from the Lisbon or Porto office in Portugal; candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Act as the primary technical authority in an Agile team, guiding architecture, software design, and release strategies.
• Define frontend architecture and oversee user interface implementation with Angular.
• Deploy, migrate, and manage cloud-native microservices on GCP, including GKE, Cloud Run, and App Engine.
• Lead code reviews, enforce SOLID and Clean Code practices, and promote secure RESTful API integrations.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with cross-border stakeholders.
• Mentor developers and oversee continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, including leadership of complex projects.
• Strong expertise in Java 17/21, Spring Boot, and Angular.
• Extensive experience with GCP services such as GKE, Cloud Run, and Cloud SQL.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and cloud deployment strategies.
• Fluent English at B2/C1 level.
• Existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and SQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Additional cloud technology certifications.
