What you will do

• Collaborate with project and product teams to refine user stories and translate them into technical requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain responsive, accessible, and high-performance web applications and reusable components.
• Apply frontend best practices for component reusability, performance optimization, accessibility, code quality, and maintainability.
• Implement frontend security practices, including protection against XSS and CSRF vulnerabilities.
• Integrate static code analysis and application security testing tools such as SonarQube and Fortify on Demand.
• Document technical decisions, architectural patterns, and frontend standards.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of frontend development and engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Vue.js or the Vue framework.
• Good understanding of modern frontend architecture, reusable components, responsive development, UI/UX implementation, and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Experience with software testing, code quality, maintainability, performance optimization, and software craftsmanship principles.
• Experience implementing or managing CI/CD pipelines and frontend build and deployment processes.
• Experience developing, deploying, or operating web applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, plus experience with Storybook.

Nice to have

• Experience with other design frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Experience supporting or completing government-sector systems.
• Familiarity with Government Instruction Manual 8 policies and Digital Service Standards.
