Design Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco or Singapore offices; remote candidates in Asia or North America with 70–80% working-hours overlap with either San Francisco or Singapore

hirify.global builds infrastructure and a marketplace for reinforcement learning training data and evaluations for frontier AI agents, serving frontier labs, Fortune 500 companies, and startups.

What you will do

• Design and build interfaces across hirify.global’s platform and marketplace from early concepts through shipped products.
• Make agent runs, evaluation results, reward signals, and quality feedback understandable and actionable.
• Work with research and engineering to turn complex reinforcement learning and evaluation workflows into useful tools.
• Talk with users, observe their difficulties, and improve the product based on feedback.
• Develop interaction patterns with a high standard for usability, visual quality, and implementation.

Requirements

• Strong product and interaction design judgment, especially for complex tools or workflows.
• Front-end engineering skills and the ability to turn designs into working product interfaces.
• A record of shipping products, learning from users, and improving shipped work.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and present them clearly to users.
• Clear communication and close collaboration with engineers, researchers, and users.
• Remote candidates must maintain 70–80% working-hours overlap with San Francisco or Singapore time zones.

Nice to have

• Experience designing developer tools, data-rich products, or research software.
• Familiarity with AI agents, evaluations, reinforcement learning, or training data.
• Experience creating reusable interface patterns as a product grows.
• Experience working independently in an early-stage company.
