Software Engineer, Summer Intern (AI)

Location: Milan, Italy; London, UK; Madrid, Spain; or Warsaw, Poland. The internship runs from June to September 2027. Most days are expected in the Milan office during the first few months, after which remote work from approved countries or work from one of the offices may be agreed.

Typical annual salary: £85,797–£151,436 in London and €66,065–€107,837 elsewhere in Europe; exceptionally experienced candidates may receive up to £316,052 in London or €240,330 elsewhere in Europe.

What you will do

• Build and ship software used by millions, taking ownership from idea through production.
• Use AI tools across design, implementation, testing, and documentation while maintaining correctness, reliability, and maintainability.
• Work across diverse technology stacks and choose appropriate tools for each engineering challenge.
• Develop and evolve monoliths and microservices using technologies such as gRPC, REST, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, and Rust.
• Simplify architectures, pipelines, and codebases to improve scalability and maintainability.
