Salary: $59,000–$110,000 in specified locations and $51,000–$95,000 in other specified locations; annual ranges

What you will do

  • Remove, install, configure, test, and maintain communications equipment and supporting infrastructure at FAA facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair operational systems to ensure reliable performance.
  • Interpret installation drawings, schematics, specifications, manuals, and technical instructions with engineering teams.
  • Support site surveys, installation planning, and project logistics.
  • Document installation, repair, and maintenance activities and follow applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Travel extensively to FAA sites, including assignments lasting 3–9 months.

Requirements

  • Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering, or have completed one within the last 12 months.
  • Obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust clearance.
  • Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Be willing to work onsite and travel 90–100% to various FAA facilities.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with communications equipment and installation tools.
  • Experience applying structured engineering processes to resolve technical issues to closure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
