What you will do

• Build and maintain relationships with client stakeholders, including decision-makers and C-suite contacts.
• Analyze and underwrite treaty risks in line with risk quality standards, risk appetite, Group guidelines, and underwriting parameters.
• Establish risk quality, costing, pricing, and appropriate reinsurance terms and conditions.
• Manage an assigned client portfolio while meeting contribution and profitability targets.
• Develop and execute business plans, marketing strategies, and value propositions for assigned markets.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver client solutions and develop new Retakaful opportunities.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of relevant insurance, Takaful, reinsurance, or Retakaful experience.
• Strong treaty underwriting background and knowledge of Asian insurance markets.
• Existing relationships with insurance or Takaful companies in Malaysia; relationships in other Southeast Asian markets are preferred.
• English is required.
• Strong communication, presentation, marketing, negotiation, networking, and social skills.
• Ability to coordinate stakeholders, solve problems, work under pressure, and travel as required.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu and/or Indonesian.
• Public speaking skills.
• Market relationships across other Southeast Asian countries.
