Mandarin Chinese (Simplified) Language Transcription Expert (AI)

Location: Any; fully remote

Payment: $35.00 per audio hour, based on the number of audio hours transcribed.

Project-based transcription work through the hirify.global Community as an independent contractor.

What you will do

• Produce precise, verbatim transcripts of real audio recordings with a target of 98%+ accuracy.
• Capture fillers, stutters, repetitions, trailing sentences, and other speech characteristics.
• Timestamp transcript segments with less than 500 ms deviation.
• Label speakers in conversations involving 2 to 8 participants.
• Annotate non-speech events such as laughter, background noise, and unintelligible audio.

Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Simplified Mandarin Chinese, including familiarity with regional accents and informal speech.
• Strong listening comprehension and attention to detail.
• Ability to create verbatim transcriptions, including stutters, repetitions, and filler words.
• Comfort using browser-based tools; training is provided.
• Reliable internet connection and access to a laptop or desktop computer; mobile devices are not supported.
• Availability for a minimum of 10 hours per week.
