Malay Language Specialist (AI Trainer)

Location: Malaysia; remote

Salary: $6–$65 per hour, with the final rate based on experience, expertise, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Challenge advanced language models using Malay language scenarios.
• Analyze grammar, syntax, morphology, phonetics, semantics, pragmatics, sentence structure, word order, and regional dialects.
• Verify model responses for factual accuracy and logical soundness.
• Document model failure modes and capture reproducible error traces.
• Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

Requirements

• Expert-level Malay language knowledge, including grammar, syntax, morphology, phonetics, semantics, and pragmatics.
• Ability to clearly explain linguistic reasoning and show the analysis process.
• A master’s or PhD in Malay language, linguistics, or a closely related field is ideal.
• Relevant peer-reviewed publications, teaching experience, or practical linguistic analysis experience are valuable.
• Must be located in Malaysia.
