What you will do

• Lead the team responsible for developing and evolving Vanguard Anti-Cheat Windows client services.
• Set technical direction and drive anti-cheat capabilities across user-mode, kernel-mode, and obfuscation tooling.
• Translate emerging cheat techniques into scalable detections, mitigations, and preventative controls.
• Guide complex investigations involving evasive cheats, operating-system manipulation, compatibility, reliability, and security issues.
• Build relationships with game teams and help integrate Anti-Cheat while balancing security, player experience, scope, and delivery.
• Recruit, hire, develop, and support engineers while coordinating with engineering, product, operations, and game teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience leading product work or developing engineers as an Engineering Manager or Technical Product Lead.
• Practical understanding of cheat-development or game-security research communities and modern cheat evasion techniques.
• Strong understanding of Anti-Cheat architectures and experience with low-level, security-sensitive systems.
• Working knowledge of the Windows security model, including Secure Boot, HVCI, and measured boot attestation.
• Ability to balance security, reliability, compatibility, performance, operational risk, and delivery.

Nice to have

• Reverse-engineering experience with packed, protected, or obfuscated binaries.
• Knowledge of the Windows kernel and driver model, including production-grade kernel-mode drivers.
• Understanding of hypervisors, DKOM, EPT manipulation, vulnerable drivers, and hardware-assisted cheats.
• Experience with runtime integrity verification, behavioral detection, client attestation, and signature-less anti-cheat techniques.
• Experience partnering with internal customers and translating their needs into technical priorities.
