Accountant (Real Estate)

Location: Dallas, TX; 100% in-office during standard business hours. Remote work is not available.

What you will do

• Prepare and review monthly accruals, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze quarterly financial reports for assigned upper-tier real estate investments.
• Maintain partner and investor capital account records, including contributions, distributions, and allocations.
• Support annual tax compliance and monitor cash flow for critical payments.
• Coordinate quarterly capital calls and distribution calculations with capital markets and asset management.
• Collaborate with regional leadership, accounting, development, and capital markets teams throughout the investment lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines across a portfolio of assigned entities.
• Valid authorization to work in the United States is required; employment visa sponsorship, including H-1B sponsorship, is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in commercial real estate and/or partnership accounting.
• Experience with MRI or similar real estate accounting systems.
