Machine Learning Engineer Intern (CapCut)

Location: San Jose, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

What you will do

• Design and build machine learning solutions supporting AI features in the video editing application.
• Improve modeling infrastructure, labels, features, and algorithms for robustness, automation, and generalization.
• Reduce modeling and operational workload through improved infrastructure and automated processes.
• Run experiments and evaluate and debug machine learning models in production environments.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Ability to commit to a 12-week internship during Summer 2027.
• Proficient coding skills and a strong foundation in algorithms and data structures.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work on-site in San Jose, with an in-person schedule of up to 5 days per week.

Nice to have

• Currently pursuing a PhD in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Critical, rational, results-oriented, and data-driven thinking.
