TL;DR
Citrix Engineer (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops): Engineering and administering Citrix CVAD, PVS, and WEM solutions in virtualized environments with an accent on infrastructure deployment, security, monitoring, backup, and high availability. Focus on designing and implementing resilient Citrix platforms, automating configuration changes with DevOps pipelines and scripts, and resolving complex incidents across infrastructure, security, networking, and service management teams.

What you will do
- Deploy, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Citrix CVAD, PVS, WEM, Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Director, and Citrix Gateway.
- Administer Citrix solutions and underlying Windows or Linux systems in virtualized environments such as VMware vSphere.
- Monitor system health and performance, manage incidents and changes through ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, and maintain SLA compliance.
- Implement security controls, access management, hardening, backup and recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Build DevOps pipelines and automation scripts using Puppet, Azure DevOps, FlyWay, Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
- Coordinate with development, architecture, applications, security, network, and service management teams, while providing technical training and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and at least 9 years of relevant professional experience.
- English at B2 level is required.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Citrix experience, including CVAD and PVS deployments, upgrades, configuration, optimization, monitoring, and security.
- At least 5 years of experience installing and configuring Windows and/or Linux server operating systems in physical or virtual environments.
- Experience creating high-level and detailed technical designs, documenting infrastructure specifications and operational procedures, and presenting solutions to business, technical, and management stakeholders.
- Experience with infrastructure security hardening, CIS guidelines, VMware vSphere, LDAP, certificates, service accounts, file shares, APIs, and troubleshooting hardened environments.
Nice to have
- At least 3 years of technical-level negotiation with security, governance, data protection, operations, solution, and project management stakeholders.
- Experience configuring application servers for authentication, encryption in transit, file access, and database access.
