Senior Engineer I - Applications (Embedded Systems)

Location: Roseville, San Jose, California, or Chandler, Arizona, United States. The role includes travel within North America and internationally for customer-site support and meetings.

What you will do

• Support, manage, and resolve technical issues in data center hardware, firmware, and software products.
• Debug firmware, software, and protocol-level issues for enterprise storage devices.
• Support customers throughout the product lifecycle, from requirements gathering through post-production.
• Create firmware manuals, quick-start guides, release notes, errata, application notes, debug tools, and customer training.
• Conduct feasibility studies, investigations, proofs of concept, and prototypes for next-generation products.
• Demonstrate products to customers and at industry events, including on-site support when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–7.5 years of experience in firmware development for storage or communication products, or AI/ML tools development.
• Strong firmware and embedded systems development and debugging skills.
• Experience designing, developing, and testing firmware in C.
• Experience developing debug tools with scripting languages such as Java, Tcl/Tk, Perl, or Python.
• Knowledge of SoC architecture, customer-facing experience, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
