Squad Lead & Lead Content Designer - 12 Month FTC

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with at least two days per week or 40% of working time at an office site

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day design leadership for a multidisciplinary delivery squad, setting priorities, outcomes, quality expectations, and the role of design.
• Represent the squad across the wider platform, manage dependencies, share progress, and align delivery with Lab and platform priorities.
• Lead and evolve the Content Design and Conversation Design disciplines across the platform.
• Turn complex financial concepts, rules, and choices into clear, accessible, and actionable customer experiences across channels.
• Create content ranging from UI copy and long-form storytelling to push notifications and LLM chat experiences.
• Facilitate workshops and design critiques while collaborating with product, engineering, risk, and legal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience managing and leading a design team in an agile environment.
• Ability to bring multiple disciplines together around clear customer outcomes while maintaining design quality from discovery through release.
• Confidence influencing senior stakeholders, managing dependencies, and representing a squad across a wider platform.
• Experience embedding Content Design into the product development process.
• A varied portfolio demonstrating customer-centred outcomes and business influence.
• Experience with current design tools such as Figma and stakeholder management across product, risk, legal, and engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a complex business environment, ideally in financial services.
• Experience developing and maintaining business-wide content standards, guidelines, and tone of voice.
