Quality Assurance Associate (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Cranford, New Jersey, United States; onsite at the operations facility

Salary: $19.00 per hour

What you will do

• Monitor food safety and quality policies, programs, and procedures on the production floor.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections, GMP audits, product sampling, swabbing, and quality testing.
• Inspect raw materials, work-in-progress, rework, finished products, and packaging, including high-risk product checks.
• Manage documentation for product holds, releases, non-conforming goods, deviations, and customer complaints.
• Support root cause analysis, equipment calibration, sanitation verification, and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records in SafeFoods, EQMS, and TraceGains while monitoring GMP and Food Defense compliance.

Requirements

• Fluent English is required for safety documentation and reports.
• Two or more years of hands-on experience in food manufacturing or packaging is desirable.
• Strong computer skills, including Google Docs, Google Sheets, email, and electronic quality management systems.
• Ability to use handheld devices, scanners, and computers for real-time data entry.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work on a busy production floor.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, overtime, and a full-time schedule between 6:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.; additional support may be needed for 24/7 or seasonal production.
