Investment Analyst Intern (Derivatives and Asset Allocation)

What you will do

• Analyse investment ideas from derivatives hedging overlay and asset allocation perspectives.
• Support day-to-day portfolio management operations.
• Clean, validate, and analyse in-house data.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of portfolio management databases.
• Automate processes used by portfolio management and actuarial teams.
• Produce modelling outcomes using in-house tools and complete assigned projects.

Requirements

• Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Currently enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in actuarial studies, financial mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel VBA.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, articulate ideas clearly, and exercise sound judgment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SQL, R, Python, or other programming languages.
