Web Application Architect 1 (INDG)

Salary: $95,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Architect, design, and deliver high-quality code following Bloomberg INDG engineering practices.
• Build scalable, highly available, and performant enterprise applications.
• Make well-reasoned design decisions and evaluate technical tradeoffs across the codebase.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues.
• Collaborate with development leads and software delivery teams to identify risks and remove delivery barriers.
• Contribute to special projects and the full software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of software development experience or equivalent skills building commercial applications.
• Experience participating in distributed software delivery teams using Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps practices.
• Knowledge of AWS, serverless technologies, event-driven architecture, SOA, microservices, microfrontends, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices, architecture and design patterns, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
