Senior Data Platform Engineer (Python/LLM)

Location: Tel Aviv District, Israel; hybrid work

What you will do

• Develop internal tools and products used by teams across hirify.global.
• Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs for complex, multi-step workflows.
• Operate real-time, event-driven systems handling high data volumes.
• Create and manage data pipelines with validation and reliability checks.
• Design and ship LLM and agent features, including tool use, prompts, evaluation, and production limits for cost, latency, and quality.
• Own multiple systems, integrate third-party tools, and translate ambiguous business requirements into production-ready technical plans.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of backend engineering experience.
• At least 8 years of Python experience, or deep backend experience with the ability to ramp up quickly on Python.
• Production experience developing and maintaining services and REST APIs at scale.
• Strong SQL proficiency and hands-on experience with event-driven development.
• Daily use of LLMs and coding agents in software development.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments, including Azure, GCP, and AWS.
