Senior Python AI Engineer (Agentic AI)

Location: San Francisco, California — hybrid, 3 days onsite

Salary: $75.00–$80.00 per hour on W-2

What you will do

• Build, enhance, deploy, and support greenfield Agentic AI solutions for marketing campaign automation.
• Develop backend services and microservices in Python using REST APIs, FastAPI, and asynchronous programming.
• Design multi-agent workflows, LLM orchestration, tool calling, RAG architectures, and semantic retrieval capabilities.
• Implement scalable, fault-tolerant, event-driven systems with Kafka and streaming data pipelines.
• Work with MongoDB, vector databases, embeddings, re-ranking, and knowledge graph-enhanced retrieval.
• Collaborate with developers and architects through daily standups while communicating technical needs and blockers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Python development experience.
• 5+ years of experience with microservices and API development or integration.
• 5+ years of experience working with MongoDB.
• Experience building and supporting backend, distributed, and high-availability systems.
• Experience with LLMs, Generative AI applications, Agentic AI systems, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration.
• Must work in a hybrid arrangement in San Francisco, California, with 3 days onsite.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of Agentic AI experience.
• Experience with hybrid RAG, knowledge graphs, model evaluation, hallucination detection, and human-in-the-loop validation.
• Experience with AI governance, guardrails, PII redaction, audit logging, and responsible AI controls.
