Associate Utilities Artist

Location: On-site in San Diego, California; the position is also listed in Coronado, California.

Salary: $31.54–$39.42 per hour, with potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Create color callouts according to licensor style guides and hirify.global standards.
• Create product glams that accurately represent finished products.
• Create and lay out packaging artwork using existing templates and guidelines.
• Support quality control throughout production to maintain accurate, consistent, high-quality products.
• Assist artists with art-related tasks and support creative and production processes for physical toys and collectibles.
• Collaborate with artists, sculptors, project managers, production managers, leadership, and other departments across hirify.global locations.

Requirements

• Some practical experience in design and illustration.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Foundational understanding of color theory.
• Strong research, planning, communication, collaboration, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, follow projects from concept through completion, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Self-driven approach with the ability to identify problems and work toward solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, collaborative office environment.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary for time-sensitive projects.
• Interest and knowledge of pop culture, with eagerness to learn about toy and collectibles production.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Applied Arts degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
