TL;DR
Middle Fullstack Engineer (Java/Spring Boot, React/TypeScript, AI): Building and maintaining full-stack applications for an internal operational platform with an accent on transforming AI-generated MVPs into reliable production systems, typed APIs, and scalable data integrations. Focus on designing PostgreSQL schemas, implementing contract-first REST APIs, integrating BigQuery, and improving observability, testing, and maintainability.
Location: Remote from Serbia only

What you will do
- Build and maintain full-stack applications with Java, Spring Boot, React, and TypeScript.
- Develop functionality for the Internal Operational Platform and maintain existing applications.
- Transform AI-generated MVPs and prototype logic into reliable production-ready applications, backend services, typed APIs, and maintainable frontend workflows.
- Design PostgreSQL schemas and manage database migrations with Liquibase.
- Develop REST APIs using an OpenAPI contract-first approach and integrate typed frontend API clients.
- Integrate BigQuery and external data sources while supporting observability, testing, monitoring, maintenance, and production support.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Maven, Liquibase, Spring Security, and OpenAPI-based development.
- Practical experience with React, TypeScript, API-driven interfaces, and server-state management such as TanStack Query.
- Experience with BigQuery or another data warehouse and integrations with external APIs and data sources.
- Understanding of authentication, persistence, logging, monitoring, testing, and maintainable production engineering.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude/Anthropic, OpenAI, Replit AI, or similar, including reviewing and improving AI-generated code.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Hiring process
- 45-minute screening interview with a recruiter.
- Technical interview of up to 120 minutes covering expertise, problem-solving, and practical skills.
