What you will do
- Perform assigned cybersecurity workflows using Security Onion.
- Monitor networks, investigate alerts, and analyze security logs, events, and network traffic.
- Apply threat detection and incident investigation techniques.
- Record and document tools, workflows, and investigation steps.
- Create realistic prompts and detailed evaluation rubrics for cybersecurity tasks.
- Review task outputs for accuracy and compliance, providing clear technical feedback.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Security Onion for monitoring, threat detection, or incident investigation.
- Practical cybersecurity or Security Operations experience.
- Ability to analyze alerts, logs, network traffic, and security events.
- Strong technical documentation and written communication skills.
- Current access to Security Onion and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Comfort with recording and sharing screen-based workflows.
Nice to have
- Experience with data annotation, AI evaluation, RLHF, or similar human-data projects.
