Staff Site Reliability Engineer (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Provision, operate, and migrate distributed, highly available services on Linux and Kubernetes.
• Improve the full infrastructure stack, from hardware and operating systems to applications, configuration management, and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain in-house Kubernetes operators.
• Automate operational tasks and rollouts, and provide integration interfaces for other teams.
• Administer and troubleshoot complex highly available infrastructure, including participation in an on-call rotation.
• Support efficient operating architecture, lifecycle management, lean processes, and security-relevant infrastructure in an agile DevOps environment.

Requirements

• Professional experience administering complex services on Linux and Kubernetes.
• Strong interest in infrastructure and good networking knowledge.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, automation, and open-source technologies, especially Linux.
• Knowledge of system-level development for highly available software using Go, Python, or scripting languages.
• Experience with observability stacks including Loki, Prometheus, Mimir, and Grafana.
• Fluent English communication and willingness to undergo extended security vetting (SÜ2) are required. German is beneficial.
